EXHIBITION OPENING Exhibition Opening Speech from Madame Jusuf Kalla Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarokatuh H. E. Vice-President of the Republic of Indonesia H. E. Director- General of UNESCO Honorable Ministers, Honorable Ambassadors, Distinguished Delegates, Ladies and Gentlemen I feel honored to open the exhibition of Education for All programme for the E-9 countries. This exhibition which will be focusing on teacher education and training , will also exhibit the progress achieved by each of the participating country in the six 6 EFA goals as stated in the Dakar Framework. We have provided you with various information through printed and non printed materials to show how Indonesia has achieved the E-9 goals and the goals of MDG from each unit of the Ministry of National Education, from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and from the Ministry of Information and Communication. You can also observe the beautiful Bali Cultural Landscape exhibited by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. This site has been nominated to be the World Cultural Heritage this year. At the same time you can also see an exhibition from Mobile Resource Learning Center targeted for the disadvantaged children of 4-15 year of age. designed by the wives of the present Ministers led by the First Lady of the Republic of Indonesia ,Madame Ani Bambang Yudhoyono. This mobile learning centers called "Mobil Pintar" (Smart Car) and "Motor Pintar" (Smart Motor-cycle) have been very effective to complement the government 's role in compulsory 9 year basic education, early childhood education and literacy eradication. Aside from that we have also build rumah pintar (Smart House) for accommodating the programme on income generating for disadvantaged women through providing various life skills aside from providing 9-year basic education programme.
